I probably spent the last 20 years of my life yo-yo dieting. Going from one slimming group to another, trying every diet under the sun. Cabbage soup, low carb, no sugar, The Atkins, going green, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free… You name it, I’ve tried it.

I’d often have success for a few months, too. I’d lose a bit of weight and feel happier in myself. But without fail, six months down the line I would have put all the weight back on, plus a bit more.

MIND, BODY AND SPIRIT

'My turning point came when I was at my biggest. I couldn’t bear to look at myself in the mirror, and didn’t even want to take a picture of myself with my children'.

It was heartbreaking. In that moment, something inside me whispered, “There’s got to be more for me than this.”

Right then, I made a commitment to myself to figure out how to live without feeling like I needed sugar to get me through the day. I immersed myself in absolutely everything to do with health, nutrition and personal growth.

More than that, I had learned to actually embrace my body, and I was well on the way to healing and recovery. More than two years on and I am still 7 stone lighter in my body – even lighter in my spirit – and I’ve supported a number of clients towards an entirely new relationship with food and their bodies with my Total Body Transformation Systems. My story has appeared and been shared in a number of places, I’m on a mission to bring about real change.
